Your Life, Your End, Your Wishes
October 29 @ 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Talking about the end of life isn’t always easy, but understanding your choices and putting plans in place can offer reassurance for both you and those closest to you.
Join us Friends of Sudbury Gasworks for an informative and supportive evening exploring some of the practical decisions we can make about later life and the end of life.
Our three speakers will cover:
- Planning ahead – Toni Pincott, End of Life Planning Advisor and Accountant, will discuss wills, Powers of Attorney and making your wishes known.
- End-of-life care – Debbie Ripley, Director of Care Services at Nottinghamshire Hospice and Specialist Palliative Care Nurse, will explain the different options for care at home, in a care home, hospice or hospital, as well as palliative care and the support available.
- Funeral choices – Beccy Edgar, undertaker and owner of Grave Expectations, will explore the different choices available when arranging a funeral and how families can create something personal to the individual.
There will also be an opportunity to ask questions, either during the evening or anonymously in advance, allowing you to explore subjects you may not feel comfortable raising publicly. Email fosgchair@outlook.com with your questions before the event.
This isn’t about having all the answers – it’s an opportunity to better understand your choices, ask questions and feel more confident about planning ahead.
