Sudbury in the Second World War

You can now view the Sudbury in the Second World War exhibition online.
Research has been brought together by Sudbury Local History Group, exploring the impact of WW2 on Sudbury parish and its neighbours.

The exhibition features displays on the infrastructure of wartime in and around Sudbury, evacuees who came in Sudbury, the impact of the US Hospital and later Prisoner of War Camp, and more.

If you would like to come and view the exhibition in person, The Gasworks is open Wednesday and Friday, unless closed for a private event. Please note that our community groups also take place on a Wednesday – quiet times for viewing the displays are between 12 and 2pm.
