Join art tutor Philip Evans of the Round House Gallery, Foston, on a 10 week course from Friday 27th October, 9.30-12.30. The course caters for both beginners and those who already make art work on a regular basis. The newly restored Gasworks is a fabulous venue with a wonderful tranquil space, ideal for a peaceful few hours to yourself. 

COURSE INFORMATION

This 10 week programme cost £200 per person, and all materials and equipment are included in your booking fee, as well as drinks and biscuits.

Spaces are limited to 15max, enabling direct engagement with the course tutor, to get the most out of your session.

It has the following aims in mind:-

1. To unlock and extend your creativity, through a range of techniques which you will develop through weekly activities.

2. To encourage the use and handling of art materials and equipment which will promote self-confidence and an ability to face new techniques and ideas. 

3. Establish an Art group of like minded people who would like to use the course as a way of meeting and working alongside others.

ABOUT THE COURSE TUTOR: PHILIP EVANS

Philip is a retired Advanced Skills Art teacher. He owns (with his wife Leah) The Round House Gallery, Foston, Derbyshire which was established in 1989. It specialises and sells studio pottery made by the cream of leading UK ceramicists. Philip has his workshop on site and sells his own work in the gallery and also via leading specialist auction houses throughout the country.

He was originally aiming to run this course at a different site before covid struck! However, he has decided to try and establish an art group at Sudbury to take full advantage of the wonderful facilities at The Gasworks.

The Vernon Arms is opening hopefully soon so a drink afterwards might be an incentive to come along to produce some creative work and have a pint or a glass of wine afterwards to discuss what has worked well and why?
