News From The Gasworks

We are almost finished with the external building work and are busy working on outdoor areas, including paving and the car park. The volunteer team from WELLIES have been creating a bug hotel, which we will be filling at our Easter Event.

Windows and doors are now in place we are installing the toilets and plumbing.

Since the start of the year, the building has been transformed and we look forward to being in the building by early April to start the installation of the interpretation and welcoming you to our space.

Weddings at The Gasworks

Now taking bookings for 2023

The Gasworks is licensed to hold civil marriages and ceremonies and we are available for wedding hires on a Saturday between April and October inclusive, with exclusive use from 4pm on Friday until midday on Sunday to allow set up and take down.

Egg-stra Special Easter Egg Hunt

Registration is now open for our Egg-stra Special Easter Hunt on 8th April and as National Wildlife Week falls at the same time as Easter this year, we have gone hunt crazy with egg hunts, bug hunts and a nature scavenger hunt!

Join us for our first event of 2023, with fun FREE activities for all the family. It’s going to be popular, so we recommend you book early.

DERBYSHIRE OPEN ARTS FESTIVAL 27TH – 29TH MAY 2023

We are hosting Derbyshire Open Arts, an annual open studio style event, which runs over the late May bank holiday. We are welcoming 14 artists for the event. Come along to take a look at our new building, and to support our local artists.
